I found this amazing little script on highend3D.com It actually helps you create a sweet pick page for your character in a handly little gui. This concept is exactly what I used while animating at Disney. It aids in clarity on screen as you animate your character in that you don't need to have anything turned on but your character's poly mesh! No more do you have to be bogged down by ten-thousand nurbs curve, on-screen, controllers!!! Simply drag and drop onto a gui that you build yourself with a custom background image and you are ready to go! I posted an example of how I used it on the creature in my latest project "The Attendant"
